How it works
Search your destination
Type a landmark, rank name or area. We speak SA — "Bara", "Noord", "Sandton" all work.
Find the right rank
See taxi ranks on the map with hours, routes and fares. Tap a gold marker for details.
Know your signal
Learn the hand signal for your route. Flag your kombi on the roadside like a pro.
Share with your crew
WhatsApp the rank details to your friends. Zero-rated on most SA networks.
Taxi Hand Signals
Every commuter knows these. Learn the signs to flag your kombi like a local.
One finger up
Universal "going into town". Works in every SA city. Hold it high — drivers see it from a distance.
Two fingers
Heading away from town into the residential areas. Also used for "second stop" on some routes.
Closed fist
Intercity routes — Joburg to Durban, Cape Town, Polokwane. All-day fill-up trips.
Wave sideways
Not going to the CBD — taking the ring road, bypass or cross-town route.
Point down
Just a few stops. Also used to flag a specific turn — point in the direction you need.
Circular motion
The taxi does a loop and returns the same way. Common for circular township routes.
Shaka hand
Gauteng-specific — routes heading to mine hostels. Also used in KZN for coastal routes.
Open palm
Going all the way to the last stop / main rank terminus. "Take me to the end."
